  • Contemporary or Traditional? I got my way! (for once) , We had a 8 year old builder's grade master bath that my wife simply hated. We decided to redesign the bath to our tastes and we think it looks great! I've got to admit, the room design suits my contemporary tastes much more than my wife's traditional preferences. Believe it or not, the heated marble floors are my favorite thing about the entire bath., Bathrooms Design

  • This kitchen became the heart of the home, We relocated what was originally a small kitchen (located in the front of the house) to the rear of the house. Now it’s opened up to create a large space connecting the dining room and family room.We added heated floors when we put the tiles in because we’re on a slab foundation - it's been great so far (especially during the winter)., Kitchens Design

  • Vintage Hutch gets Faux Finish, Here's a great surface look to create with a faux finish using ordinary house paint. The dynamic black veins against the white were a lot of fun to create. The client was thrilled, and so was I! The look of Carrera marble followed the elegant, vintage feeling in the kitchen., Kitchens Design

  • My Master Bath Almost There!!!!, This is my Master's not finished but this is what it looks like so far. The floors are Marble and my partner created the Italian travertine tile design herself with a Stained Glassed Centered above the tub. It seems as though it took forever to finish but its 80% grouted and we are almost done. There is also a travertine tiled skylight directly over the tub that allows natural light to come in and hits the stained glass. Its also nice to take a soak bath at night and look up and see the stars at night.I love this bath!, Bathrooms Design

  • Decoupaged Floor, Counter top and Sink!, I transformed this plywood flooring into a fun and fresh checkerboard using my decoupage technique. I decoupaged over a cultured marble sink and counter top with an Italian Marble-style paper I colored, then applied and sealed. New sink hardware, and voila! Great updated bathroom inexpensively., Bathrooms Design

  • Historic Farm Kitchen, Our circa 1790 horse farm needed a new kitchen. Sagging ceiling, outdated counters, warped cabinetry, and missing hardware were just some of the unique elements in the 70's era galley kitchen.
We refinished the floors with a dark stain. Then we lightened up the place with creamy white perimeter cabinetry and lots of recessed lighting and task lighting.
The walnut island is topped with an induction cook top and white marble.
I saw these stools online and they reminded me of seating you would find in a midtown Manhattan bachelor pad. Because my husband used to work on Wall Street, I thought I would bring his personality to the kitchen by adding the chrome and leather stools. Crystal and chrome pendant lights add the 'bling' for me.
Finished off with lots of chrome and stainless steel to add just a little more sparkle to the classic lines of the kitchen., Kitchens Design

  • DECOUPAGE sink and counter top!, Hasn't everyone had one of those one-piece counter top and sink combo? Ugh. I have two. I just decoupaged the entire surface, then decorated with travel memorabilia to fit the theme of the space. Of course, I sealed it to stay dry, then replaced the hardware. Please comment and rate!
