  • my little girls teenage room, I decided to turn one of empty bedrooms into a teenage bedroom for when my 9 year old is ready to move into it. she loves to read so I dedicated a whole wall for a bookcase with all her favorite books, and storage bins since the bedroom is lacking storage space, all the colors she picked herself for the walls she chose cool mist from BEHR and furnishing in teal and black and accents in yellow and blue , Girls' Rooms Design

  • New sophisticated glamour room., I just finished a new look for my teenage daughters room. She wanted something glamour but not too much. She loves clean and spacious so I thought light would reflect off the light blue walls. Her room is only a 12x12, so we have very limited space to work with. Black wasn't my first choice for bedding but it worked with the walls and the glamour look. , Girls' Rooms Design

  • New Bedding, Hello: If you have come across this post, please let me know how you found it; if it's not too much trouble. On my computer, I realized it is missing from it's category "Girls Rooms". I can only get to it by the main page and searching thru the dozens of new posts, by viewing one of my older posts, or signing into my uploads. I reported to HGTV but no response from them yet. Thank you for taking time to respond.

I posted in haste and did not provide any info [sorry]. This is a repost. I am reposting with the new bedding. I waited for over year for this bedding to go on sale at Anthropologie because a lot of their stuff is over-priced IMO -- but everything is unique and beautiful so I shop there a lot. Designs on the walls are hand-painted. This is my oldest daughters' room and we wanted it peaceful for her to study while she attended college and grad school. She spends a lot of time in here studying.

I will try to post more pics later of where we divided the room with the curtain and beads. We painted the desk with the same design on the walls (Indian Mehndi).

Have a great holiday!, Girls' Rooms Design

  • Preteen bedroom with glam and room for crafting, I had previously redesigned this room but as my daughter got older her interests in crafting and wanting more floor space to do that led me to redesign her room with a more grownup look and more area to do her crafting. Removing the dresser and making storage above the window seat and making a daybed allowed for the floor room she desired. A wall unit holds her supplies and other stuff. , Girls' Rooms Design

  • Teen room with reflection of personality!, This is my nieces bedroom, my sister finished off a basement room for her and had minimal funds for decorating due to the cost necessary to actually finish the basement. So she asked for help. Made her the headboard, did all accessories, spiced up some lamps, a mirror and the nightstands as well as the drama above the bed and the duvet - all of that for less than 250.00! May not be for everybody- but this room totally is a reflection of my niece and her personality! I would have loved to have a room decorated to my taste as a teenager! It's the age to be fun, express and identify! , Girls' Rooms Design

  • New BR for Lil' Miss Sassy Pants!, This is our daughter new BR. We just built a house and moved in it October 08. Her BR is the first room to be the most complete.
For those interested the wall color is Sherwin Williams Ryegrass. The curtains and a few of the pillows were made by myself and my daughters great grandmother. The fabric is from Hobby Lobby. The black Bedspread is Better Homes and Gardens from Walmart. The area rug is also from Walmart but was ordered online as it was not available in stores. The furniture is from Haverty's. I have some custom art pieces being made and will add more pics when they arrive.
If anyone is interested in other things feel free to ask. I hope you enjoy the room. Suggestions and constructive criticism welcome. , Girls' Rooms Design

  • Paisley Glamour, It was a big challenge to work with such a small space and a limited budget with high expectations. My inspiration for the whole room was a grouping of canvases that I painted a contemporary paisley pattern. First I replaced my track celing fan with a chandelier that adds a great sparkling affect to the new striped off white metalic walls. I added a vanity that I purchased from an auction, I used a crackel finish with silver and topped it off with the metalic paint. I took the mirror off and decided to use the previous vanity as a contemporary desk. I also purchased an old oak buffet and spruced it up with off white paint and silver accents to become my entertainment/storage credenza. I finished the room with layers of coordinating fabrics for the bed and drapes. I am so pleased with how it turned out I love the shiny affect that the room has, I enjoyed working on the room and now spending time in my paisley glamour bedroom :), Girls' Rooms Design
