My 9 year daugther old had outgrown her "princess" themed bedroom and was switching rooms since her big sister moved out and she wanted her old room, so we decided to redecorate. Murals are courtsey of Samantha Gambale.

I LOVE this room! I am in shock because I came on here to find a beach room for ideas...we are buying a loft bed from a friend and it happens to be the exact bed! I had already thought to add the grass to the bed! Could you share where you found the grass for the bed and window treatment, where the palmetto tree came from...and the paint color? Thank you so much!

JeanetteM - the murals were hand painted. Thanks everyone for the nice comments and good advice. Kleentx - I definitely want to find a way to hide the stand at the bottom of the palm tree, but I'm not sure I'm ready to put sand in a 9 year olds room. I doubt the sand would stay in the tub. Cool idea though. I might just cover it up with sand colored fabric.

Such a great idea for her room and you've done a great job! The walls, the grass skirt and lei trims, the palm tree and her cute chair all look as though a designer came in an did it all. The only thing I'd add is large tub of real sand to put that palm tree in with sea shells scattered on top of the sand.
