  • My Garden on a late summer evening..., This is an evening view of my garden in early evening in August. The roses are on their second and last bloom before autumn sets in. They really are a sea of stunning color cascading along a granite wall built to look like it's been here for years, though the house and garden are only 6 years old.., Gardens Design

  • My Garden Pond, I made two garden ponds with a bridge and three waterfalls and a stream between the two ponds. I have over 20 koi and lots of frogs. I also built a deck with a pergola. At night the ponds light up with torches and low voltage lights under the waterfalls and around the ponds and my wife and I sit in our swing and listen to the waterfalls and frogs croaking. I live in Ohio so we can only enjoy it for 8 months out of the year. In the winter the koi stay at the bottom of the pond. , Gardens Design

  • Pleasures of August, At this time my garden reaches its peak. Things are never going to get any bigger, better or brighter. Now its a matter of extending the season as much as you can.
I personally don believe in "flower colours clashing" I think its only timid gardeners. Hope you all enjoy the garden., Gardens Design

  • The Fountain Patio, When we talk about blending home and garden this is a perfect example.

Drawing on California's Spanish Colonial architectural heritage, the garden works to enhance the architecture of the home. The plants, common to the Mediterranean, are both colorful and drought tolerant. The use of wrought iron is a tradition directly from the Old World. It is timeless, durable and looks like jewelry.

  • My Sanctuary -Garden of the Year 2007 by Commercial Appeal Newspaper, Memphis has had a dry spell but I am thankful for a good irrigation system. This is my refuge from daily stress (working full time) - I have feeders for the birds and squirrels, caged feeders for the small birds to protect them from the sharp shinned hawk. The pond also gives me such pleasure. Here is where I work out all my stress and frustrations - My Sanctuary!, Gardens Design

  • Sugar Bush in October, Our neighborhood was built in an old Sugar Maple grove. The original trees that are now over 100 years old are easy to spot as they were planted in neat rows and diagonals. They are especially pretty this fall. Our house was built in 1941., Gardens Design
