Our home is set on a knoll in the Fairfield Mountains in NC. The house is located below the street entrance which created a drainage problem and uninviting entrance. I designed a stairway, waterfall and 3 tier garden creating a warm and welcoming entry.

www.larksperennials.com My cottage garden is full of unique and afforable art pieces. I have finally achieved full color through all four seasons in Wisconsin. My art pieces are made from recycled materials (tractor parts pizza pans bowling balls glass vases metal scraps youth beds bird cages etc. More flower pictures will come this Spring and throughout the gardening season. Gardening is a passion of mine. I view my garden as a canvas. I am constantly changing the picture. www.larksperennials.com

There's no better time to share your garden than mid July. The annuals have filled in, the perennials are overflowing and the foliage is still slug-hole free.

The impatiens have really done well this year. We will enjoy them until that first frost just melts them! Keeping Jaxon from destroying huge patches with his tennis ball is another story!!!

The dry stack stone wall surrounds an elevated patio. I matched the stone to the house so the house looked like it grew out of the ground. There are large center stairs, a small set of stairs on one side, and a stone path ramp on the other side.

Small space garden on a second floor roof top in the Williamsburg neighborhood of NYC. I started this project In May/2010. To create this garden , I had to built it taking space in such a way as to maximized its surface area by creating a multi-layer garden by thinking in 3-D. In order to use the space as efficiently as I have; I had to custom made and built everything . At 14' x 16' , this garden functions as a giant container garden which includes the more then forty different plants from annuals and perennials to trees, shrugs, succulents, etc. Note; how multi-layering has aloud me to plant so many different plants in such a small place. And; as a container garden with such a variety of plants on a rooftop , it needs a lot of care from twice a day watering to constant pruning but the reward is priceless.
