  • Big Design, Small Space., There is a small strip of land that runs along the side of my garage. A sinuous path of stepping stones connect the driveway to the back gate. I built the gate as well two summers ago with my stepson. After a few more additions are made to the garden I'll be putting in pavers just uphill from it adjacent to the driveway so I'll have some new before and after pictures of that project coming soon. Hope you enjoy my garden., Gardens Design

  • My Secret Garden, My garden was inspired by Mexican courtyards, which are typically hidden from public view behind tall, non-descript walls. I created my garden on a budget as everything, with the exception of the cermanic tiles, was purchased at yard sales, swap meets or thift stores. I hope you are inspired to create your own "secret garden.", Gardens Design

  • No Back Yard - So We Made the Roof a Garden!, We live in the city! Our backyard is another building. Except a small patch of grass in the front of our house...we have no yard at all! So we took over the roof! We planters in containers! The lower roof area is devoted to vegetable gardening. The upper area is for relaxing and perennial plants. Besides flowers we have fruit trees, grape vines and more! We have a seating area and a dining area. Eventually we will add a pergola for the wisteria and winter hardy kiwi vines to climb. We added a drip watering system this year!, Gardens Design

  • Miniature garden, My husband got a little carried away mulching and knocked a branch off of my contorted filbert. It looks like a little, gnarly tree, I thought, which inspired me to create a miniature garden with the branch as centerpiece. The "stream" is made from crushed seashells. , Gardens Design
