Oh I'm so jealous! I would love to have such an abundance of hollyhocks. I am in zone 4. I know they take two years to bloom. I've planted them each year but I can't get them to come back for me the next year. You know I should try it again......from seed like you did. Absolutely gorgeous!

I live in Ohio-cincinnati area. We have had excellant weather. I'm sure that is a factor. I did add grass and leaf compost in the fall and I crumbled it all by hand this spring also I added Black Satin mulch and Osmocot time release fertilizer.

Gorgeous! I wish I could grow hollyhocks we have too much wind!
