Just love this idea, and I have cinder block that stayed w/house when I bought it last year, so many thanks for the idea. I saw a smilier idea on Yard crashers they painted their blocks, which I may try but I liked how you stacked yours and that you use flower pots to set inside and not a permanent fixture like the did on the show, but both such a neat idea.
You got any ideas for small bricks, inherited lots of those as well with the house :-

what a cool idea! I have a space in my back yard corner that this would look great in. I think I would use some of that concrete staining on the blocks to make them more colorful. Most of the hardscape in my yard is in terra cotta colors so the grey would look too out of place. :
