The garage was built to replicate the style/color of my Victorian home. 58' x 24' , 10' ceiling down with 8' ceiling upstairs.
Future plans for the upstairs include storage room, `50's diner, and pool hall.
Most all building materials to finish off interior are recycled, having done all the work myself.
All the counters are actually bi-fold doors that were being thrown out from a 13 story office building that we were renovating.
All the cabinets came out of several sources; two houses being torn down by a local university, and a high school that was being turned into a grade school. All were painted black to match.
The 10' motorized projection screen and the mini-blinds were salvaged from the same 13 story office building that the counters came from. I bought the projector off eBay cheap.
The refrigerator was recycled from a friend who had bought a new house then upgraded appliances, the stove from my basement "summer kitchen".
The center incandescent lights were salvaged from a high school renovation. I stained the concrete using a $2.35 bag of "Copperas", an iron sulfate based garden additive and water, followed with a water-based clear sealer. Environmentally safe as opposed to caustic acids.
All of the neon lighting was bought off Craig'slist along with the `50s swivel stools. They were originaly tan, but I painted them red with automotive vinyl spray paint.
The tables that go with the stools were originally green and were salvaged from the 13 story office building and painted black.
The rubber baseboards were reclaimed from the office building, cleaned, and used in here.
The three(3 downstairs windows were ordered wrong from a window company and were to be scrapped. I held on to them for several years with this project in mind.
