  • I LOVE my dorm room!, My favorite colors are hot pink black and white so I chose to surround myself in my favorite colors to make my dorm room a place I would enjoy being in.   • Unique Chic, Our daughter wanted a space to study and rest but still feel that she was being social. So I started the design and a train berth/compartment came to mind. With my wonderful husbands help and the college giving us measurements of the exsisting bed/floor plan we created this great space. Although our daughter was nervous about leaving home for the first time this design gave her the feeling of having a space all her own.   • Senior Year Relaxing Retreat, For my senior year (and my first single room) I wanted to create a relaxing feel. I set a budget of $400 (including all furniture and decor) and was able to stay under it by shopping on craigslist and at yard sales. I purchased the fireplace at a yard sale and I made the art on the walls. I also refurbished some old furniture from my basement to make it fit the decor of the room.
