Had an old but beautiful dining room set but the upholstery in the 6 chairs was worn out and ugly/outdated. The backs were wicker and broken in a few chairs.

Ok this isn't actually a space and currently I am moving so it may be awhile til I post an "actual" space... but anyway this is my chair for my dining room I re-did I got 2 chairs for free (can't beat that price right? reupolstered the seats with black and white damask fabric by waverly home at Joann's and sanded stained with 3 coats of walnut stain and sealed with 4 coats of wood sealant considering it was the first time I have done something like this I am quite proud!

Can anyone recommend something to replace the backs with recommend a color for the seats and tell me how I would take the seats off (do I undo the screws in the wood underneath?? My walls are two different shades of green. Thanks!

I purchased the dining room set at Z Gallerie. I installed hardwood flooring and crown molding. I need some advice for replacing the center piece and placemats, napkins and the plates. Curtains have been ordered for the whole house. Please make suggestions on what else I can possibly do to further the look of the room.

Original Dining Room chairs were a little big and dark for the room size. I thought about replacing the glass table, which is a little big for the room vs. getting new chairs. I decided on the chairs for now, until I find something I really like. What a difference new chairs make! What do you think? Feedback appreciated ...

I had to replace my area rug under my dining room table but I couldn't find anything to go with my chairs. Found a rug that I just had to have and then found these chair covers that tied everything together. My chandelier was brass and I painted it black and dry brushed some brown on. Sure beats buying a new one!I also just finished my "sugared fruit" tree in there. Lots of changes for not much $$$.Whoo..hoo... I finally put a tree skirt down and it sure looks better. Thanks for help.

This dining room was completed along with our living room. We decided to go for a much darker "espresso" brown finish on the dining table and chairs which went well with the wall color and light cream accessories. We stuck with only 2 colors…Beige and Dark espresso to keep it simple yet rich. The chandelier also ads elegance to the space. We love it:D

This is my living room/dining room. The color was orginally green, but not a pretty green a green that made the room feel tiny, and was so dark. So I painted it apricot but it ended up more yellow. I had been trying to go for a tuscan vibe at one time, now I have no idea. No one ever uses this room, and I am trying to find a way to make it more comfortable and inviting. Someone deliberitly dropped the celing, and it makes the room feel tiny, and then they added the popcorn celing to make it even more difficult, they even popcorned the top of the window seat area.

Check out this dining room - We're going for an eclectic / worldly look. My wife decorated this space and I am posting this so she can get some feedback on her design skills. Take a moment and let us know what you think! I'm impressed but I'm biased.

Our lliving room is connected with the dining room. There is no TV in this area. Instead, it's a space for reminiscing. The antique china and cut glass that I inherited from my parents after their recent deaths are in this room for us to enjoy. I tried to put together one antique room in an otherwise modern home. (The flat-screen TV just didn't fit here! The chair throws vary, but my Mother's handiwork on Monk's cloth is ALWAYS on one of the chairs.

This is my newly-painted 12 x 13 dining room. I know I need artwork on the wall, and that's coming. What I'd like are suggestions for a chandelier. Right now, the fixture is an outdated 6-light brass fixture. Yes, I know it's hung too high in this picture. I don't like crystal-style chandeliers, but I'd like some help. What do you think?
