We just purchased our first house and here is our dining roo. Table is from Bali indonesia. 8 piece in laid shell . hope you like it.

Love the wall color, its perfect. There is way too much beige on this website : I do agree that you need more substantial curtains. You could also use some more art on the walls, perhaps a large piece rather than several small pieces.

Your table is simply too beautiful to be covered with placemats. You might consider taking an accurate measurement and having a piece of glass cut to go over it. It will provide protection so no placemats or tablecloths will be necessary. The yellow walls are very stark...to add more warmth to the room think about adding an area rug. Select one that is large enough to extend past the chairs if people are seated. You can then choose a color from the rug to add to the window area...the shear curtains are not enough. Select accessories with your color palette in mind.

Beautiful Furniture...Why would you cover up that table with those mats? I would get silk draperies with colors throughout your chairs or whats on the table. I cannot see the top of the table or the chair so this is what I am going on. Maybe upload more pictures? Gorgeous furniture though.
