  • Navy, brown and off white contemporary dining room, Just recently moved in a previously owned home and needed to decorate the dining room to our tastes. We added hardwood floors, shadow boxes below the chair rail, a new light fixture, a new area rug and curtains and our furniture. The walls are painted with Valspar's Night View alternating matte finished stripes with satin finished stripes., Dining Rooms Design

  • Take Two: Dining room re-do, We added drapery (custom panels in off white linen with black greek key tape), black nickel drapery hardware, wallpaper (by Thibaut. Style: Antoine Trellis. Color: Silver on Charcoal), buffet and accessories. We kept our existing reclaimed wood table and upholstered chairs (Candice Olson, Style: Margo). We removed the area rug intentionally as the chairs are quite heavy and now with felt pads under each leg its very easy to move them around., Dining Rooms Design

  • Classic Simple Elegance , Many of us remember the dining room from our childhood as the separate, formal room that housed the most expensive pieces of furniture and was only used on a handful of special occasions and holidays. The dining room by nature is a simple space. The focus of any dining room is its table, while the chair choice creates the overall personality of the room. Simply add an overhead light fixture and somewhere to store linens, dishes, serving pieces, and cutlery. Whatever you do, try to keep your dining table from becoming a permanent family drop zone and keep it as a soothing place for your eye to land, enhanced with a centerpiece or candles that suit the season and your personal style, whether that be a glam candelabra, beautiful bowl of fruit or your favorite art piece.

  • Black and Gold: Country Chic Dining, As you can see this room has come a long way from where it started! Starting with the black and brown buffet I began purchasing similar pieces that I liked (black frames toile curtains and other accessories). I reupholstered the two captains chairs (in black/cream hounds tooth) and made a black/cream geometric liner for my toile curtains. We recently laid this Bamboo flooring (with a very dark almost black finish) and the table and chairs pulled the look together. I don't know what I would call it exactly...French Country???, Dining Rooms Design

  • Our Dining area Makeover, I have done a few updates in our dining area for the third time now, and decided that I finally like how it looks. This is our only eating area in our house: we have breakfast, lunch and dinner here, we do homework, crafts and host dinner parties. , Dining Rooms Design

  • Modern Global Glam Dining Room, A chic, club-inspired dining area carved from a narrow open-plan kitchen. With luxe materials, and a custom floor-to-ceiling banquette (with a base that hides even more storage), the "eat in kitchen" was redefined as "luxurious compact dining room." • Fresh, modern, rustic dining room, The previous dining room space had dark yellow walls and boring, bland furniture. It was lightened and freshened up with warm gray paint on the walls, a new modern table and sideboard, sophisticated curved leather chairs, a coastal-inspired chandeleir and fun geometrics on the curtains and rug. A rustic mirror brings additional warmth and texture to the space. All that's left is some sprucing up of the walls with artwork., Dining Rooms Design

  • The $200.00 kitchen dining area., I created this dining room off my kitchen for a total of $200.00. This includes everything you see in the room except the 3 framed pictures which were a gift from my father. I purchase most items from the Salvation Army and Habitat for humanity thrift stores. The fake fireplace was purchased for 18.00, painted white and a mirror installed in the back. The kitchen table was purchased as it is for 23.00. I did not have to do anything to it as it is old and looks naturally distressed. The chairs were purchased for 15.00 each and painted white, then recovered. , Dining Rooms Design
