I really like this room! It's warm and cozy. Ideas? Maybe a window bench with teal cushion? Maybe lumbar pillows in teal to match the bench seat? If they are not wanting to used at meal time they can be placed on the bench till done. I like the the cabinet the way it is, but you can tell by my style I like the calm of muted / natural tones. Too boring for many people I know, I like to use textures and shapes to speak.

Thank you justdoinit! Unfortunately, we bought a taupey/tan shag area rug for the bedroom, but it didn't work, so moved it to the dining room. Although it warms up and grounds the space, it added no IT factor. I love your idea of the teal accents. I was actually leaning more towards the coral-y color in the painting, as the bedroom has a giant canvas art that's similar to this style, but many hues of teal/blues/sea glass. The drapes are very boring. I'm going to try and find either light teal or a light coral. Thanks again for your input.

Really awesome job! Since you asked, lol, I have a few suggestions to really make the room pop and tie it together. I would add a rug with a pattern that incorporated the teal in your painting, and the same with your drapes. Then just add a piece or two of the teal on the armoire. Even if you decide not to go any further, the room looks great. Enjoy!
