We haven't done much in here except paint the walls a neutral beige color. I would love some color inspiration... I tend to lean towards "safe" colors, and feel stumped with this living room. With our dark wood trim and our brown and beige furnishings I have no idea what color would look good on the walls. Any suggestions???

Our dining rooms plays perfectly off of our formal living space. It is a mix of formal and casual, which fits our lifestyle. I have many pieces that I love in our space. My furniture is more on the casual side. It is paired with a perfect chandelier, beautiful artwork, and a stunning rug which ties the room all together. The drapery in the room came with the home. I intend to change it out later this year. It has worked and blends in with the space. The color pallet in the space is very relaxing and makes for enjoyable dinner parties. Enjoy and thanks for viewing!

This is the last room that is left of our total house renovation. We bought a 1890's farm house that we have gutted and gutted again.... And so, here is the last room of the renovation process.....

replaced vanity med. cabinet and all fixtures. painted and my favorite idea was the rope in place of trim at the ceiling. I Love it. I need to add there is still touch ups to be done such as the holes in the window trim and the floor trim to add. The 3 small pics. on the wall are real lighthouses. I took 1 in Washington State I found 1 my Mom took yrs. ago and the other a friend took for me in Maine

Before, room had old oak cabinets, stained and nasty, pink laminate countertops! PINK!!! The walls originally had wallpaper on them and the appliances were ORIGINAL appliances, except the dishwasher which was replaced after Huricane Katrina. We put in Maple cabinets (Pre-fab from lowes, did the countertops ourselves with tile and the flooring is now a ceramic tile that looks like hardwood. We found the mosaic piece closeout at a flooring store that was going out of business for only $100!!! I know it's not for everyone, but it works for us. We still have a little touch up to do in this room, but it's SO much better than it was!

This space needed updated.. so we painted the whole room into the kitchen with the pretty gray paint.. I put up new curtains and rods, in a brushed nickel finish, it has crown molding in creme color. and it does run on down one wall of the kitchen. all the trim was painted in the creme also. we bought new furniture, and changed the placement of our dinning room table. decluttered, and put in new carpet. the carpet ends at the kitchen and goes down our hallway, but the bedrooms are still hard wood floor and tile in the bahtroom. A much brighter more organized room. we also put in a new front door.. I am in love with the glass in the door.

With three small children, my husband and I definitely deserve a restful, beautiful room. I created this space to feel sophisticated and elegant without being TOO ornate. The elegance of the furniture is balanced with the simple beauty of the lamps and mirror. My husband has to live in this room, too, so this is a nice balance of feminine and masculine by using black, leather and nail-head trim. The walls are Valspar's "Lighthouse Shadows". The ceiling is "Cream in My Coffee". Since the ceiling is vaulted, we added the molding to "bring the ceiling down" and create a cozier space. Painting the ceiling the same color as the upper wall helped complete this feel.
The bedding was surprisingly purchased at Walmart about 2 years ago. I made the curtains, wall monogram and headboard with a little muscle from hubby. I removed the original "matchy matchy" mirror on the dresser and added this large solid wood one from Homegoods - only $50! Other accessories in the room are from Marshalls, Target, Homegoods, Ross, etc. I successfully convinced my husband to take down the ceiling fan and put up the chandelier instead...bought at Home Depot.
I finally LOVE our bedroom and the feeling it brings us.

This was probably the most intense renovation ever. There were two guest bedrooms that were a complete mess. Take a look! Questions or suggestions are welcome!

We wanted to modernize and enhance our living room without losing the vintage charm of our fireplace. We got a flat screen TV and mounted it to the wall above the fireplace. We cut into the wall to thread the wires inside of the wall, then we patched the holes. I repainted the room a sage green and we put up basic crown molding and painted it a bright white to match the mantle. Then I added some simple accessories for height and balance.

Living Room with a bay window/bump out with hardwood floors separated from the foyer and dining area by columns. It is decorated and furnished but it does not pop it is boring.
