I wanted an elegant room for my guest to sleep in when they come to visit. The paint color is Pottery Barn Berkshire Beige the lamps by the bed came from Pier1 the corner hanging lamp I made myself. I took an old lamp & made the new look with paper clips and sequins I found at Hobby Lobby. I wanted it to match the ones from Pier1 to create a cohesive look. The beads hanging on the curtains I found at West Elm along with the bedding. Thanks for stopping by!

rustic finnish meets minimalistic modern. clean lines, and personal touches, bring character to the room. A 20 year old reindeer rug on the wall reminds us of my husbands roots. most of our furniture was very affordable from IKEA, except for our comfy Crate and Barrel couch.

This 30 square foot bathroom in a pre-war co-op building in NYC was gutted and renovated to be a modern space efficient luxury bathroom. Despite it's small footprint the materials (travertine marble and brushed nickel accessories make it seem large and make you feel like you are at an upscale hotel.

Our new home has gorgeous windows and a cool cherry TV built-in but is the green fireplace and pumpkin accent wall a design disaster? My husband loves it and I hate it. Our style sensibility is Crate & Barrel and Room and Board- sleek and simple. Please weigh in on the colors. Thanks and blessings for visiting our very first home!!

The lighting is odd on this pic, the living room/dining room paint is the same color, it looks beige in the dining room, but it's not at all. It's more seafoam.

The dining and living room are combined in our 1000 square foot home. The dining chairs are from the Celine Dion suite in Las Vegas. There is an art deco flare to this 1950's bungalow.

Need help--desperately! After 8 years of marriage we finally have our first home. We could never buy with the military always moving us but finally my Soldier husband has some stability. SO EXCITED to be in here but have no idea how to furnish it. Picked out a big area rug and it didn't match the style or color tones AT ALL. Now deflated and nervous about trying again. How do I set this room up? Floors are cherry hardwood, fireplace is black with traditional white detail, and that box cutout above the fireplace--do I fill that in, put in a widescreen with a shelf above it...? What kind of seating arrangement? Window treatments or no? Lighting? Thanks for any and all help. So want this place to look stellar!!!

I was inspired by the Cheesecake Factory on Michigan Avenue in Chicago so I told my husband to cover our support poles with galvazined steele. Also note the pendants and my "fav" CD holders as well as the Crate and Barrel airy shelves I savor. They are wonderful as room dividers. Enjoy.

Our new construction home has a new addition - a ZGallerie Steamliner coffee table which allow my husband to recline with his feet up in incredible comfort. On the way are some custom brown silk dupioni curtains which I will upload as soon as they are installed.

The holidays are a blurrrr....I had to unexpectedly fly off to Ohio due to a family medical crisis and was there Thanksgiving through January 1st!!!! So....I've missed viewing all your great and inspirational holiday posts and I didn't get any holiday decorating done in my home either! I had just completed my Thanksgiving tablescape in preparation for my daughter and son-in-law to arrive for the holiday....but then had to dash off the next day to Ohio! Better late than never, here's what I still had in my camera from the day before Thanksgiving! Hoping for a smoother New Year....and wishing all of you a happy one as well!!!

We recently completed a renovation of our master bedroom and bath. Our goal was to bring a sophisticated coastal feel with a touch of asian flair to our space. We allocated a large chunk of our budget to the lighting plan and raffia covered walls. We added wide v-groove planks to the ceiling and hung a large coral chandelier.

I have always wanted to create a relaxing bedroom environment where all electronics, wires, and annoying digital lights are tucked away. I hid all of these things and more into a beautiful mahogany armoire. I lightened up the room with a soft paint color and a colorful duvet. The finishing touch was the comfy reading chair of my dreams! I am still looking for accessories and wall decor to finish out the space. I would love suggestions or ideas. Thanks for looking at my space.

I finally added the curtains to my living room. Just wanted to share - and thanks for stopping by! I also wanted to add that several people have asked me where I have found certain pieces. The ottoman is the Steamliner from ZGallerie the rug is from www.homedecoratorsoutloet.com and I have to admit I didn't expect much but it's a very thick wilton wool and very plush and soft.
