  • Lakeside cottage, Cottage garden.  Patio and walks were plain concrete -- created a "faux" flag stone with concrete stain.  All gardens were created by using the "lasagna" gardening technique -- all ideas are the compliments of info  I've found on the HGTV website!   • Powder Room Makeover, Small powder room makeover.  Pretty and clean compared to previous owner's nastiness (check out the before picture to see what we started with but we did completely strip out the fixtures and gross carpet and lived with empty space for a year!).   • Cottage Blue Family Room, This large and comfortable room serves as a hub for our family of 4. Whether it's tv watching, game playing, entertaining friends or family or reading- we do it all in here! All fabrics from the slipcovered white cotton sofas to the pillow covers are easily washable from our black dog Raven's fur or sticky fingers from our 3 and 5 year olds.   • A Shabby to Chic Master Bathroom Makeover, My bathroom was dull, dingy and dated. It was in major need of a makeover. As a fan of shabby chic style, I created a warm, inviting space with the addition of new paint, upcycled thift store finds and vintage items. Now I love going in there.
