This is my daughters room, she is18 months now. I am from The Netherlands and we live in Texas. We love modern design and we didnt want to use the traditional colors. We loved the idea of a room that can grow with Sofie. The used fabrics are all vintage Dutch fabrics. The room has contemporary furniture from DucDuc NYC. The 'tea-time-table' is from IKEA as well the doll bed. My husband sprayed the doll bed red to match the color theme of the room; red/white/blue and orange. We used as well vintage pink fabrics and vintage laces to make it more girly and less clean. The wall stickers "Amsterdam" are from www.zuuz.nl

I wanted to make a cute space for my son without spending a lot of money. I saw the circles from other rate-my-spacers and thought how contemporary. I bought two sample paints of a darker blue and black and used a children school compass to draw the circles on the walls. Frames were $3 at Wal-Mart and the curtains for $12. The chair was bought of craigslist for $60 and will be reupholstered.

This is the nursery I designed for our first born daughter. I love pink and chocolate. She's a year now and I am expecting a 2nd . A Boy the beginning of May. I can't bare the thought of parting with my pink room but I have to make room for my baby boy to live in the same space. Help..... I want his colors to be green & chocolate or blue & chocolate. I want a hip modern room that has a pink side for my daughter and a blue or green side for him.

This is our first baby and we decided to not really go the traditional route. We used very bright vibrant colors. Chocolate browns, turquoise, apple greens and creams are all in his bedding and we just went from there.

I went for a contemporary nursery that ended up a little differently than I wanted because contemporary is expensive! So I ended up making a lot of my decor, but I think it ended up looking great!

The baby room is done with Polka Dots and Primary colors for Decor and bedding. We wanted it to be fun, and eye catching for him! Most of the stuff came from Ikea, and furniture from Babies r us. Wall colors are done in light blue and light brown for a backdrop to the brighter accessories.

This nursery is just heaven for us and hopefully for the baby. I got the idea from a nursery I loved on here but we changed it up a bit and made the squares smaller. This is a very small space and it's a "circle room". We are going for simple just blue and white. We added a sheer curtain to separate it from our master bedroom since there was no door. The painting is of a baby dragon that my mother-in-law painted as a gift for us.

This is my son Owen's warm and inviting nursery. It's a clean space evoking the theme around bugs, snails, worms and all the little slimy creatures that little boys love. My mom did the murals without any patterns or stencils. There is also a touch of the moon and stars overlooking our little creatures of nature. The daybed (Ikea opens to a king sized bed so we wouldn't have to give up our guest bedroom. The custom paint really excentuates the shape of the room and gave us an opportunity to display our color palatte nicely. So far, it's been functional as well as esthetically pleasing for Owen. He loves to stare at the bugs (the stripes are pleasing to newborns!

This is my son's nursery. Wanted it to be a little contemporary and not baby-ish so we went with a bold black and white print for the bedding and added splashes of color with wall decorations.
