  • Front Exterior, Inspired by the houses in uptown New Orleans, the home is fairly unique in Baton Rouge, where many homes are of the country french style. Plus, we're originally from the New Orleans area, so this style keeps us close to our roots!, Home Exterior Design

  • Halloween Fun, The pumpkins are from Michaels printed out fancy letters traced then painted and finished off with a spray of matte sealer. The crows are from Michaels as well. I spray painted some branches black and stuck them in the window box and attached the crows with wire. Don't forget to look at my More Halloween Fun space too for inspiration. , Home Exterior Design

  • "Ugly duckling" gets a coat of curb appeal, I almost didn't buy this house. It stood out like a sore thumb among the other homes in the neighborhood. However, I am glad now I decided upon it. I got a great deal on it, put very minimal money into refurbing it, and now 6 months later, its appraising almost $50,000 above what I paid. Never underestimate the hidden potential!

Update 6/6/12: hello and thanks for all the nice comments and compliments! I sold the house in February of 2011, and began construction on a new home. The new house was finished in September of 2011, and i will post pictures soon., Home Exterior Design
