This area is finished for a while. I toyed with the idea of all white and cream furnishings, and whole new style. Since I have two grandkids, and one possible in the works, I've decided that chocolate brown feels more forgiving and less stressful to live with. I think this is it for a while aside from a couple of art prints that I'm waiting for to arrive in the mail.

We just bought our house and are in the process of making it our home. The sofa loveseat and recliner are all hand-me-downs and I am planning on purchasing all new furniture. We just got done painting the walls ceiling and the brick on the fireplace. Let me know what you think and please give me any suggestions or ideas that you have.

The whole concept was to have a modern but wheelchair accessible universal design kitchen. My husband uses a wheelchair but we wanted to design a space that invisibly incorporated features that would make the space more functional for him while maintaining the overall design we both envisioned.

This is my first house and my first attempt at decorating. I would love your suggestions!1 what color curtains would go in this area? the paint color is Toasty Gray but looks kind of greenish gray2 is there something that would look good above our TV? I think it looks so bare3 any other suggestions would be great as I know it needs some help!

We currently have just plain white walls with some AMAZING furniture peices.The sectional is a dark cherry/brown leather. We don't know what color to paint the walls! I was thinking of going light green and adding some more red accents but would that make it look like christmas? Or should I go with a light yellow with 1 wall in a darker shade like mustard yellow? I just took out the lazy boy chair and added a small end table there instead. It made the space feel much more open and larger I think. We can't really go with small furniture pieces because that costs too much right now. So, should I keep the rustic cabin feel for my style or do you think that is outdated? I wouldn't mind going for a more casual, contemporary and little traditional style here, as long as I can still have some of my cabin in the woods decos and lamps that have bears and moose on them. Would that help or hurt the style of the room? Is that style outdated now like country style is?

Our mountain cottage sits on The New River in NC. It is a classic Country French style with ceder siding to blend into the mountainscape. My husband is currently creating a outdoor living space. Which it has a stone and brick fireplace. An arbor above the patio for that cozy feel and a upper deck for outdoor eating. I will keep you updated

This is a very small area, includes the living-area, the dining area and the kitchen. It doesn't help that most of the living-area walls are full of wood panels. This is a rental, so I can't do much about it... so be nice.
