  • Beach Cottage Chic - No Kitsch Allowed!, I created a sanctuary for myself up on one of the Great Lakes. I live in LA so having a serene environment to escape to was the source of my design inspiration. White slipcovers are machine washable and keep the mood light. My color scheme was inspired by the view outside my windows - the lake the beach and the sky. , Living Rooms Design

  • 600 dollar throw away house garden, I bought a 600 dollar house marked for demolition. It is small but very charming and has incredible details from long ago building practices. The foundation is hand laid tooled rock and the siding is cedar clapboard, well it was under nasty green asphalt siding! The yard is immense, it came with half an acre of overgrown weeds, grass and rotten trees. From March til now, here is what I have been doing..., Gardens Design

  • No Vacancy, We gave this home some much needed warmth before lisitng it. We are thrilled, as it sold in 1 day! Woo Hoo! (I wish I knew why some of you automatically rate every one of my spaces with one star? It's abundantly obvious when they stay in high 4's for a long time and then suddenly drop a couple of ratings. I have never been anything, but kind on this sight. Never a cross word and always willing to help those who ask for it. It's just kind of sad to me to know I'll never know a true rating. I just don't understand where someone gets joy in that?), Living Rooms Design

  • Charming Toile kitchen (renovation), I did a complete renovation of my 1970's kitchen (total spent was around $8500). We put in granite countertops and backsplash and new flooring. Put in all new stainless steel appliances. I stripped and painted the cabinets a deep mocha brown and added pewter hardware. Changed out the lightning and fan and changed out the faucet. Painted the old dining set the same color as the cabinets. Lastly I decorated with a black and ecru toile theme., Kitchens Design
