  • Breezeway was the most expensive renovation, We bought this house in 2001 and have since renovated it twice, adding on this kitchen in 1995, but when hurricane Charlie took out our power for 10 days a few years ago, I lost all my incentive to renovate again! Help--cracks are appearing, and everything needs to be taken down to the bare bones. I want to do a design show house for HGTV the RIGHT way! Time to do the inside & out on this OLD house again.

  • Newly Divorced with New home, Im recently divorced after 28 yrs of marraige, and I just purchased my 1st new home, alone. It a fixer upper, and I love that, but I'm stuck! I cant decide what to do with the breezeway and the doors. I will have siding put around the garage and other areas of the house that's not brick, similar to the paint I splotched in the breezway, but I cant decide if I should leave the breezeway white, have shaker shingles in that area or have it the same color as around the garage. Im also torn about the front and side door. Should I buy a new, fancier door with or without a window? I was thinking window and have it frosted but my sister says no window. Also, the side door window on new door or not? Also, what would you do for landscaping in the front? I have to make a decision ASAP! They'r already putting the roof up. Next will be the rest. Thanks!, Home Exterior Design

  • Good-bye Ugly Brick Walkway!, Ever since we moved into our house a little over a year ago, I've wanted to get rid of the ugly brick. Our house is cedar with a rock fireplace. Concrete drive, sideway and 'swamp' deck. Why would someone put down a brick walkway?
Well, I've decided to use the existing brick and move them to the side yard. The existing rocks will become the new walkway!
This is my project process so far., Yards Design
