This room was created for my 4-year old son who is obsessed with pirates. I created his own "pirate ship" bed and finished the room off with pirate accessories.

With his love of plants, chemistry, art and science fiction my client's son wanted a room that was befitting his personality and interests. The dilemma was solved by creating a room fit for a genius boy.

This is my 3 year old son's room. We wanted a real "boy" theme, but nothing too over the top. I found this reproduction cowboy fabric that I fell in love with and built everything around that.

We have a 2 bedroom apartment in Manhattan, NY.This small bedroom is shared by my 3 children . My 12 and 9 year old girls, plus there 6 year old brother. It is a 11' x 8' room. When my 2nd child was born we took out the closet and custom built a bed with four drawers underneath. Then when the 3rd child was born we converted the bottom 2 drawers to a trundle bed (mattress is a crib size mattress, cut from foam and built a bunk bed above. The 12 and 9 year old girls are sleeping on foam mattress the width of a crib and about a foot longer. My 12 year old is way too big for her bed and is ready for a twin size mattress. I think the best solution is a horizontal murphy bunk bed with custom drawers/closet on the main wall. Then create a closet and drawers under the bunk bed. This is a fortune to custom build. I clearly need help and specific suggestions!

Our son's room had 3 layers of pink paint & wallpaper when we bought this house. We redid the walls with white & blue paint & a Nascar border & replaced the carpet with black & white floor tiles.

maybe you would have to see the entire room to get the real appreaction for it. The colors all blend well with the camo theme and the loft bed is metal and has the same lines. besides putting a camo theme on the wall would be way too much

I have almost 3 year old twin boys that will be moving into one of the larger bedrooms and out of the nusery. I'm just in the planning stages but I thought I'd post what I have so far to get some other ideas. Please see the other photos! This is the guest room currently and this bed will be coming out.

I have a 5 yr old and an 11 yr old sharing the same space. Didn't want the 11 yr old to feel like a baby didn't want the 5 yr old to end up with an older boy's room so I tried to evenly work the space into something they would both enjoy with a pullout table on a lazy susan for board games etc. in between the two beds. The whole board slides out to reveal a lighted "secret passage" behind the walls that leads to a homemade door in the closet of the living room.

How do you make a small room work for three? Boys that is. The each got to pick their paint color and the accessories.
They like their bedroom because they played a part in decorating it and mom likes it because it is cohesive and neat.

We live an apartment right now so it was harder to decorate as we cannot paint the walls. I love looking at all the colorful artwork that he did everytime we walk down the hallway. I also love that all of his toys have bins so that he can put all his toys away easily. He has a small desk to practice his letters a book stand his size and an arts and crafts tote for easy access to coloring painting cutting glue stickers and everything else a 4 year old would need!

Whenever my 6 yr old grandsom spends the night at my house he insists on sleeping in my bed with me instead of in the big bonus room upstairs. So this is my attempt to get him to sleep in his own bed. The small bedroom downstairs has always been my office so I decided to convert this room and make it his bedroom. I've allowed him to pick the bed and had him put his own hand prints on the wall. I'm still not done but it's slowly evolving.

A friend gave me some shutters and I wanted to use them as a background for the bed, rather than using a standard headboard. Used a black & tan color scheme. We painted the walls a khaki/tan and kept the doors/trim white. Mounted another shutter above the window on an angle. Have since changed the fabric in this room and will repost soon.

This is one of three bedrooms downstairs. Two were original when we built the cottage and we added another. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom which works well for guests. I took the picts with a phone so the clarity isn't great.

Finally got around to giving my son a big boy room. He arranged the furniture - not how I would have done it but who am I to argue with a 5 year old. Also the bed is a toddler bed (hence the reason for the sagging. Hard to make any quilts look nice on those beds!
