I wanted a space for my twin boys that didn't use the bright primary colors and had a more muted pallet. The inspiration for this room was our families service in the Armed Forces. The decor includes lots of toy planes and army antiques. The large bookcase had no top and was in need of a lot of TLC--I got it for free when I purchased another item from an antique store. I had it refinished and it turned out very nice. I made the shadow boxes and got the WWII poster for about $8.00 on eBay. The two beds were custom made in the same style as antique church bench. The pillows and bedspread were all clearance items. The bed skirt and extra pillows were made from a striped fabric remnant that I found for $4.00 a yard.
