I think your room looks great. And the mural is fantastic.

Wow! I love the creativity of the mural! I think I would have stopped it just below the vent and painted the vent the same as the wall. I also think it would be cool to continue the mural down to the floor...so you would have the tree coming all the way down on the left beside the bed. Then, it wouldn't look chopped off. Good luck!

How about some nature prints around the room..either water, a forest...maybe in sepia tones...

I don't really like the advice that Goldie has given. It is YOUR room; do as you please. There are no rules to how a room has to be laid out. I just so happen to like it!
