thanks robertdelanco! The doors were a budget decision -- had them laying around and I wanted a headboard that would make a statement. Super easy project! And the fireplace is so cool! No permits needed and it really adds a nice ambiance to the space.

i think the use of the doors as headboard is a great creative solution while being economical and the unusual fireplace is a wonderful accent.

I posted pics of the two paint colors I used in the room. The accent wall paint was really expensive and I don't think they carry anymore. Let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck with your room!

I love this room.....just enough detail to make it inviting and welcoming. only problem is your guest may never leave!!!! please tell me the paint color i am getting ready to redo my master bedroom and i plan to steal some of your wonderful ideas ...just so original thanks for the inspiration.
