I just went through the exact same thing with my room; the bedroom suite looked almost identical to your and although I loved that furniture I simply could not move around in my bedroom so I sold it. I found my color inspiration from a picture, painted the walls a nice blue and built my own headboard out of a fireplace mantle that I picked up at a flea market. I ordered fabric swatches and am in the process of deciding on curtains, etc. You don't have to be a carpenter or great seamstress to do these small projects, trust me, I'm neither. The point I'm trying to make is add yourself to your space. Find an inspiration piece, something that speaks to you, and go from there. Remember to accessorize with things that brings out your own unique personality. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

You have a gorgeous set of furniture and the perfect layout. I love a bedroom with two windows between which to situate the bed. It provides the perfect opportunity to frame the bed with drapes, which is always a classic look. As suggested, find new bedding you love and then pull the colors for the drapes and a new wall color from it. Be sure to use two drapery panels on each window and mount new, thicker decorative rods in oil rubbed bronze to work with your furniture at the ceiling. Hang long {95 inch} panels and pull to the sides with no tie backs. The new drapes and rods will make a huge difference in the look and feel of your room. I personally think you could get away with just new bedding and drapes, leaving the current paint, and call it a day.
