First time home owners...we bought a fixer upper; Heres our bathroom. Before:Wallpapered panneling, hard water runied tub, sink, and toliet, falling-a-part vanity, peel N stick floor, JUST UGLY
After: new costum stained vanity and mirror frame, vinyl floor, drywall... new everything(tub, toilet, fixtures etc...! All for $1500:

Looks great! I think pictures or some wall art would look good across from the mirror and maybe a towel rack or shelf above the toilet. If you used an accent color for these little decorations, it would really make the bathroom stand out!

Needs an accent color to brighten it up a bit. Perhaps an aqua blue or lavender.

Bathrom on a Small Budget, This is my 1/2 Bath/Laundryroom in my 1960 home..I started out with green checkered tiles on the walls, floor, and vanity. It had an old metal medicine cabinet and let's not mention the horriblelight fixture. I tore out all the tile from the walls added new drywall and beadboard. I found an old desk off the side the road. primed it, cut a hole in the top and added the sink and faucet. I painted the walls this "Brown Bag Hat". I added these peel and stick tiles to the floor and now I think all i'm missing is towels and maybe a valance for the window. , Bathrooms Design

From "Lion King" back to the 1920's , This hall way bathroom in our 1924 house was first done in the "Lion King" look simply because I was too sick to get into a lot of work so, instead of tearing out walls then, I chose to paper them with brown paper and go with the safari look. At the time it was better than cracked plaster walls with nasty wall paper (the way it was when we bought this house). After several years of living with this look, we changed it back to the way it should have been. We took the walls out and replastered, added bead board, widened the chair rail, added a new water saver toilet and a new sink and cabinet for storage. I found the shower curtian and had the paint matched, then painted the rest in white semi gloss and added the Navy blue towels and rug.
Seems there is something still missing but my eyes are too clouded to see. Your imput would be appreciated.

Big Punch in a Small Space, Our older home has small bathrooms. This is the master. Although most would want a tub, previous experience told us that what we needed most was a big shower. The cabinet, medicine chest and mirror were hand made by a carpenter who used our Ethan Allen bedroom furniture as a muse. The tile shower is lined with a Kerdi kit for waterproofing and there is a Fantech unit above the shower to assist in controlling moisture. , Bathrooms Design

look what we did! , it took a long month but its finally done. we installed beatiful tumble travertine all around. replace vanities, sinks, lights and remove wall paper. if we did it you can do it too. it takes alot of reading., Bathrooms Design
