About This Space

This is our weekend labor of love. We spent long nights and many Sundays building our spa like master bath. This was an empty attic space when we first started. Over 2 months we did everything from building walls to tile work. This was a true do it yourself from start to finish. We used Travertine tile and sinks along with copper accents and slate for the shower, but my favorite thing is laundry shoot. I am interested in seeing if others like it as much as we do. I love what you guys did! It' beautiful. My husband is a carpenter, we are going to be gutting our bathroom and we bought slate tiles for the floor, walls and shower. We decided to do a drop in tub with a walk in shower. How do you clean your slate tiles in the shower? I use a squeegie in my main bath shower, but you can't on slate because its not smooth. Any input would be great, because i love yours!

Love the finishes and the space and windows. However the various styles are conflicting and distracting - asian, southwestern, tuscan, victorian, craftsman. A different rug and light fixures could help bring it all together.

Beautiful finishes , I adore the stone sinks. I would also like to see some glass instead of the curtains , and a big white or cream fluffy shag rug to soften up all the hard surfaces. You did a beautiful job.

I KNEW that was a laundry shoot; boy did I love that when I had one in my other house! I'm so impressed you did all this work yourselves! Wish I could have done some of the work of my reno, although my husband did do all the tile work in our bath and kitchen remodel. Love all your finishes!
