About This Space

Our master bath consists of two rooms. One room with tub and sink next room with shower and toilet. Originally (last picture we had a huge garden tub and a long vanity with only one sink plus carpet. That room did not function well for us. We found a wonderful and talented carpenter/contractor in the Quincy IL area named Trent Mountain. He made our dreams come true with this new master bath. Double pedestal sinks claw foot tub cabinets granite top pocket door and marble floor!

To Madeintheshade: since you don't have any uploads of your home, I can not leave a comment on your site, so here is the answer to your question. Based on the size of my bathroom wall, I had to use a 24 inch cabinet between the sinks. The maker is Shiloh, but you can use any maker just ask for shaker style. The base is not custom but the upper custom from the same company.

I am in the beginning of a remodel and also would like to know the dimensions and if they are custom or manufactured cabinets. My wife loves the look we are going to give it a try. Our home is a Foursquare and we are attempting to bring it back up to its original look.

I am from Pike County IL....just south of Quincy. I actually signed up for HGTV.com just so I could comment on this bathroom. I'm a vintage kind of gal myself and love what you've done with your bathroom. I too paint murals and will consider this when I redo my bathroom next year. You've given me some great ideas and thanks for the name of your cabinet maker...I may be giving him a call. This room looks like something Candice Olsen would design...very charming!

Simply elegant bathroom! I'm looking for a new vanity for my master bath which has only one sink. I never thought of using two pedestal sinks with a cabinet in between. Was the cabinet custom made for you? Or was it purchased? If so, where? Thanks.
