This master bath was an outdated in an early 1990s built home. The homeowner wished for a "spa like retreat", but did not wish to do a complete tear out renovation. They chose to keep the existing vanity, roman tub, and large mirror as the decorator knew she could vastly update their looks! Carpeting on the floor was replaced with 18 x 18 porcelain tile, the vanity was painted an espresso, polished brass fixtures were all replaced with sleeker style, satin nickel ones. The outdated wallpaper was removed, and a soft tone-on-tone wave-like paper put in its place. The large mirror was custom framed, and the "theater bulb light strip" was replaced with two sleeker vanity lights. The client wanted the tub to be "set off" in some way, so the decorator created a soft, flowing drapery panel, attached at the ceiling and puddling on the floor. Abstract art, a ribbon shag rug, cool accessories, plus a customized vanity chair, finishes the room completely!
