We had a huge bedroom, so we decided to take a third of it and turn it into a bathroom. Our house was built in 1922, and we decided to keep the spirit of that era in place - hence the checkered floors and chrome fixtures. We faced the challenge of keeping two windows in place (or else add about $5k to the DIY budget, so that affected the design quite a bit. However, we're thrilled with how it turned out (even though it took much longer than anticipated!!.
