About This Space

Updated a bathroom in our brick bungalow that still had the original tile, floor and tub. Used unusual components, our own skills and elbow grease. This bathroom was remodeled for less than $2500 - and that is with hiring an electrician and plumber for the code work.

I love the galvanized steel backdrop! It really sets off the colorful vanity and ties in with the mirrorr and wall art. I like that it is not a smooth surface but has depth and energy! Very creative!

I think you did a great job. I love all the design elements and the wow vanity, subway tile show, wall flowers, crystal chandys, sink, everything...except the galvanized steel. I think this is where you missed the mark. I've seen this used in restaurants and the like but in the bathroom it just seems cold and a little cheap. I can picture that wall either painted or subway tile with a chair rail.
