Not only do you need to re-waterproof the basement, I would have the grade level outside the foundation checked. A lot of times improper grading will result in water being turned toward your foundation. If the grade allows water to run against the foundation it will find a way to get inside.

Jenny Maria, I agree w/Shelia the wetness in the basement should be addressed IMEDIATELY! This will not only protect your furniture but your health. It's very possible that you could develope a mold problem, if you haven't already. Mold can & will most likely create health issues for you, your family & pets. If you are only able to save $10-$30 a week or month, eventually you'll have the funds. Check w/home supply stores they can help advise you on correcting the problem. It may even be a project that you & or friends could handle at a reasonable cost. Knowledge is power! Sorry to say, but w/sooooo many people wanting to be on HGTV the odds of you getting on may be soooo high & could take years, if ever. In fact I think that sometimes the home owers actually pay for the work they do...i.e. Love it or List it. I'm not trying to discourage you from trying to make contact w/HGTV & applying for 1 of their shows. At the same time, we need to remain realistict. I wish you luck!!!

I presently don't have the funds to waterproof my basement. That's why I want to be HGTV'D.....

You first need to get the basement waterproofed to protect your belongings and avoid high humidity. It looks as if you have some nice furnishings and enjoy the basement when it is dry, but the flooding needs to be corrected before you attempt anything else.
