The insipration for my son Owen's nursery was a print of a penguin balancing on top of an orange. I used the greens oranges and purples to bounce off into a circle-based theme. Due to all the color on the walls I went with simple white bedding (which has a circular motif that isn't immediately obvious.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments - to answer the question about the circles: I traced different shaped bowls to cardboard and then traced them on the wall. Hand-painted every single one after that. Yes it took a VERY long time! :)

Love the colors and the idea. I agree the wall letters don't stand out against the busy walls. Is that a growth chart next to the crib? It looks a little out of place.

Looks good! I would add another circle above the crib.. it looks like a blank spot there... also I would probably paint his name a green to match the bottom wall. (The white blends in and is hard to see...) I can tell that you have an art in decorating! This room seems so fun to be in! :o) Congrats on the baby!
