  • Emmy's Parisian Chic Nursery, When my husband and I found out we were having a little girl, my wheels immediately started spinning and construction began! I have always loved wainscot, so that was the first DIY project my husband tackled. I maximized space by setting the armoire caddy-corner with a changing station to the left and the crib directly on the opposing wall. The glider and ottoman is also caddy corner next to the changing station. I found an antique mahogany two-tier table with scallop edging from Craigslist -$50- and refinished it in a black pearl stain with gold etching and tulip flowers with the letter M for Baby Morgan. The picture-in-picture was a design inspiration that my mom found in an interior decor magazine. We replicated the idea, wallpapering each of the inside panels bordered with molding, and placed vintage pictures that have been with my family for several years. On the 'changing station' wall, the other two picture-in-pictures have wired vintage figures of a manikin silhouette and Eiffel tower for that Parisian flare. My mother-in-law made all the bedding, drapery, and diaper hanging sack from fabric we picked out a local fabric warehouse in Buena Park, CA. The crib cornice and curtain tie backs were a great find at the Princess Canopy Shop on Etsy. They are stained in black pearl with brass/gold etching. My husband designed the M monogram and had it carved for under $40. I bought the hanging chandelier on closeout with black shades and matching pink bows were tied using the leftover pink satin bedding fabric. The furniture was purchased locally and the lamp was purchased on clearance at Tuesday Morning -$50-. I shopped around for the rug after finding that on an interior design website, I bought it for 50% less than retail from BoldRugs.com after they price matched another competitors price. The crib mobile was purchased on target.com., Nurseries Design

  • Ugliest bathroom ever...HELP!, I have suffered with this tiny, ugly bath for 6 years and had the painters paint it white. Now it is all peeling and I'm stuck with pink and green again. I'm a single woman who can't afford to remodel the bath when I need to fix the roof and overhang. I can't do it myself as I have physical limitations. Please remodel my bathroom., Bathrooms Design

  • Jackson's Nursery, We just finished up the final touches on his room today. We tried to keep it simple with somewhat neutral colors so it will be easy to change things as he gets older. We used the Baby Martex Pro Flyer bed set and the letters above the crib we had hand painted from a lady we found on ebay called "little everythings". She did such a great job! We also had our switch plates painted to match the bedding as well. , Nurseries Design

  • Rowan's Puke Pad, We had no idea the sex of our baby before she was born. The basis of the room decorations was from the letters "Love Your Life." I wanted things to mesh, but not necessarily match perfectly. This was so much fun to decorate!, Nurseries Design

  • Woodland Wonderful, This wonderful woodland themed nursery was creatively collaborated with help from my mom and sister. My mom painted the trunk of the tree, made the baby quilt and curtains for the room and my sister and I designed and created the woodland creatures on the tree and walls by using scrapbook paper. I wanted to do something gender neutral so the main colors in the nursery are yellows and greens., Nurseries Design

  • Nathan's Room, I wanted my son's room to not be gender specific. So I found a great wallpaper with birds on it and did a feature wall. The rest of the room was painted in a taupe. I mixed and matched pieces of furniture and used a chest of drawers instead of a separate change table. I think my design kept the room playful yet sophisticated., Nurseries Design
