  • Retro Pink and Gray Bathroom, My husband and I just moved into this house. It is our first house, we are 25 and can't afford to redo the bathrooms right now, and I actually don't mind the retro look, especially since it is so well maintained. Looking for ways to work with this color scheme.

Would it be possible to add a vanity and incorporating the sink without ripping it out?

The lacy curtain, towel, and seat cover were the previous owners. They are gone now., Bathrooms Design

  • penny-pinching and pink, This our half-bath right off the kitchen and the foyer. The kitchen has blue walls and cream cabinets and the foyer is wood paneling! We will eventually do a full remodel but not for a few years. In the mean time we want some ideas on how to update this bathroom. The first picture is what the bathroom looked like when we first moved in. The second picture shows what we've done up until tonight (painted the walls and replaced the toilet.), Bathrooms Design

  • Vintage Fashion, This is the bathroom at my apartment (I wasn't able to paint the walls or do anything permanent). It turned exactly the way I was hoping. All of the wall hangings shower curtain and trashcan were purchased at Bed Bath and Beyond. The White shelf was bought at wal-mart rugs are from JC Penny and towels are from Kohls. Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions. Please rate., Bathrooms Design

  • From 80's Pink to Retro Cool!, Check out the before photos of my mother's bathroom when she bought her new home. Something obviously had to be done! The budget did not allow a for a total remodel. Besides, Mom loved the black and white tile. A little paint, new shower curtain and valance (Thanks Marygrace!), and a couple of up-to-date accessories and all signs of the 1980's have been erased. , Bathrooms Design

  • Retro Pink Disaster to Old World Master, This 1962 bath was a mess of pink and tan tile with pink butterfly stickers in the tub, a bulky medicine cabinet with doors that either stuck or threatened to fall off, cheap laminate countertop and a lot of mildewed water damage from a leaky shower in a second bathroom that backed up to it. With only $500 in materials, and creative repurposing of accessories from elsewhere in the house, this guest bath radiates a warm, old world attitude that welcomes any traveler., Bathrooms Design

  • Work In Progress--My Retro Bathroom, Another project in the works. My bathroom was straight out of the 80's. While not near completion I have thrown down the gauntlet with the installation of a vintage baby blue American Standard sink and toilet. I'm still searching for the matching tub. When I find it I'll put in a new floor and redo the walls. I'm not sure what material I'll use yet. I'd love to do blue and white tile with chocolate accents!, Bathrooms Design

  • Desperately Rosey Bathroom, We bought our house a year ago and it came with this original 1950s pink and red bathroom. Is there any way to make pink and red tile work? Well, we tried by adding custom artwork and matching bathmats. Any suggestions on what we can do to modernize this bath? My husband claims it's too feminine. I can't think of any way to make pink masculine, or at least neutral. I considered painting the tile, but our shower has a big long crack down the middle (yay for earthquake country). Should we just start from scratch? We need your help!, Bathrooms Design

  • SOLD with pink bathroom, After tearing out one ceramic bath, I learned my lesson. Even though we were about to sell our house, there was no way I would go through that again, even to replace the dreadful 60's pink and black. Our house was on the market for less than 120 days (IMHO the realtor had it priced too high) which seemed like a long time to me, but we're glad to finally have it done and move on! , Bathrooms Design

  • Mid-Century Yellow and Gray Bathroom, The house was built in 1956 and we moved in just under a year ago. This full bathroom is on the main living floor; there is a full master bath downstairs. All tile and fixtures are original; all we changed was the wall color and added the accessories. Before the yellow the room felt cold and cavernous. Not any more!, Bathrooms Design

  • Pink and Grey Master Bath Needs Help, Our master bath is a small space, but the worst is the pink tub, pink sink and pink toilet. I'd love a cabinet sink that provides storage and counterspace. Do you think with 53 inches between the tub and toilet I can install a double sink? or is it better to have one sink and more counter space? Suggestions?, Bathrooms Design

It is our first house, we are 25 and can't afford to redo the bathrooms right now, and I actually don't mind the retro look, especially since it is so well maintained. Looking for ways to work with this color scheme. Should I keep the wall white or paint it a color?

The toilet seat cover, curtain and garbage were the previous owners.
