  • 80s Kitchen - Yuck!, We have a tiny outdated 80s kitchen with oak cabinets formica counter and almond colored tile with brown grout. Gross! We recently painted the dining/kitchen walls a happy orange which we LOVE but it doesn't spruce it up enough for me. How can we fix it up on a tiny budget? Our dining area looks sorta 1950s with a chrome dinette with colorful tuck and roll chairs. We got the dinette set used at a garage sale. It goes perfect with the orange!!! , Kitchens Design

  • Zen Bathroom on a Budget, I purchased a 1980's home that has great bones and a lot of potential. I was originally going to gut the entire room and start over but based on budget decided to do a facelift instead. There are a lot of materials and fixtures I've always wanted to try in a room and decided this was the project to use them in -- namely: granite tiles for the counter a vessel style sink and natural grass wallpaper. Budget $700., Bathrooms Design

  • Pinnacle of Design BEFORE PHOTOS ADDED!, You have to really see the "before" to truly appreciate our kitchen now. It was UGLY! Now we have stacked cabinetry that draws the eye to the peak of the cathedral ceilings with soft cream-colored raised-panel doors and a classic beaded inset frame featuring magnificent molding flutes columns pilasters keys and corbels. This is our dream kitchen and we researched for over a year to find the "right fit" of a contractor and designer to make our vision a reality. They nailed it!, Kitchens Design

  • This is my Galley Kitchen: It Needs Lots of Help!!, I moved into my home in 1984. Yes I added the wallpaper then. What was I thinking? The kitchen/breakfast areas are tiny and the cabinets are dark with "pirate chest" hardware and Harvest Gold appliances. Very little storage space and the washer/dryer is at the end of the galley. No basement/no garage. This space needs a serious makeover but I just don't know what to do because I don't trust my own taste. All advice welcome!, Kitchens Design
