  • Goodbye 1980s, Hello 2008, 1980's Kitchen with all the builders grade cabinetry was seeking major face lift! And we did it! 11 weeks tip to tale floor to ceiling! We had a cabinetry "issue" (delivered sink cabinet was wrong) that stalled us out for 3 weeks. But that's the nature of the beast! Well worth the wait!   • The Pink Pit!, Master Bath screams for updating from the English Garden look of the 1980s. Watch out for that pink pit in the center of the bathroom floor- the first step is a doozy!   • Updating my 1980's kitchen, Since I didn't win Lotto this evening I guess Candice Olsen won't be renovating my kitchen. I want to do something on a small budget. I have ivory old school formica cabinets with wood trim. I've primed the trim Will add a molding on top of the cabinets also white. Add brushed nickel knobs or handles. Colorwise - I have Bleeker Beige in the adjoining room (DR) - need a complimentary color but can't decide. HELP!Am I heading in the right direction with this design idea?, Kitchens Design

  • New Home, Old Space!, My boyfriend and I will be buying his parent's house in the near future and we need Help! The living room is trapped in the 1980's. There are built ins everywhere paneling a random narrow wall between the kitchen and the livingroom and a huge box in the middle that houses an old tv that pops out.   • This is my Galley Kitchen: It Needs Lots of Help!!, I moved into my home in 1984. Yes I added the wallpaper then. What was I thinking? The kitchen/breakfast areas are tiny and the cabinets are dark with "pirate chest" hardware and Harvest Gold appliances. Very little storage space and the washer/dryer is at the end of the galley. No basement/no garage. This space needs a serious makeover but I just don't know what to do because I don't trust my own taste. All advice welcome!, Kitchens Design
