  • The Chocolate Blues (An update of my Vera Bradley-inspired kitchen), I'm a total Vera Bradley fan so when I learned of their home collection I knew it would be the basis of my kitchen. I wanted the kitchen to be a bright color so I used the teal's found in my Vera placemats. The blue makes me cheerful yet somewhat relaxed at the same time. I still have yet to find the art for my walls but with some great advice from my fellow RMSers I have added and updated somethings in this space., Kitchens Design

  • UPDATE -- Antique Copper Ceilings (foam) completed! Remodel of our bathroom - still "In Progress" AND "Before and After" pics of our home when we moved in. , UPDATE: Well, we finally finished our bathroom and are now moving on... This past weekend we installed a new sliding glass door removing a large old pane window. We also installed our back screen door off of our bathroom. We have now decided to build a "summer porch" onto the back of our home - there is a deck we already built and we are making it into the "summer porch" which will be partially screened in so we can sleep out there on cool nights. So this is our new project and we hope to have it finished by winter, which is just around the corner ! ! We'll see..... we also would like to add onto the deck where we just installed our new sliding glass door, but I doubt that all of this will get competed. Another "work in progress" - will post pics. , Patios & Decks Design

  • Great Room redo - Help!, This room is in need of new paint. I am currently stripping wallpaper and trying to decide on a neutral color for the walls. At this point I am trying to match with the colors in the fireplace brick. Eventually I will be getting new furniture - but will stay neutral. The dark leather chair will stay and all the dark oak furniture. So help me please get a new look with paint! The carpet will be changed to a neutral color as well. Right now everything is moved toward the center of the room because of my wall paper stripping project. sorry for the mess!!, Living Rooms Design

  • Blue House, We are thinking about selling our home and we are trying to come up with ways to maximize the curb appeal. Someone suggested painting the red brick veneer and porch. Everyone I ask seems to agree that the red brick has to go. The brick is not in the best of shape. Painting brick scares me and I really don't want to mess it up. Painting the rest of the house is not an option financially. Any advice or suggestions would help immensely!, Home Exterior Design
