  • A 200 year old yard, I've been restoring my antique house for years & now it's the yard. I've reused stones mostly for a sunken garden. The yard consisted of poison ivy & sumaic atlhough there were lilaic iris & apple trees. An old forgotten dirt road ran right through the yard. Most of the plants now are from relatives friends & even one dug from my fourth-great grandfather's yard . I scour flea markets yard sales & even roadside trash. I rescue dogs & I hope you enjoy this tour with us. , Yards Design

  • Beware of the Pirate , Fun and playful boys room. The bunkbed makes it easy to have lots of space underneath to play. I tried to make the bed look like a ship. Under the bed there are pillows to lounge around and a treasure chest for his treasures! , Boys' Rooms Design

  • Dr. Seuss Baby, We are adopting and therefore, wanted a gender neutral theme so we settled on Dr. Seuss. The room doesn't have windows so something bright and colorful is what we were going for. I found the bedding online and then started the design process from there. An artist friend of ours came over and helped us paint and it all came together in 2 short days! I can't wait to bring our baby home so they can grow up in this fabulously fun room! • Nightmare Closet Becomes Dream Dressing Room!, I am naturally a bit messy so I wanted to create a closet that was highly organized and worked based on how I used things on an every day basis. The deep green color on the wall is the accent wall color in my bedroom and this closet sits right next to that wall so it worked out perfectly! I put a "closet within a closet" behind mirrored doors and hide stuff I don't use behind those doors. I put a stool in the closet so I can dress and undress (and put on my shoes) in there. I really love the new space!, Closets & Utility Design

  • Old playroom pics, This is our "playroom" in our new house. I used vintage furniture and bright colors to make this fun. I am moving my boys into twin beds so I moved their custom toddler beds into this nook in their playroom now when we have my neice and nephew over we have an extra sleeping area! But when no one extra is staying over they are great for "jumping on the bed". My favorite thing in this room would have to be the bright IKEA rug!, Boys' Rooms Design

  • Little Boy Mod, A baby boy nursery I designed and painted for one of my clients. I painted random circle groupings and hand painted the striped wainscot to match the bedding. I also designed and sewed the valance and chair pillow to go with the theme. I added colored circles to the otherwise white changing table and added fun chinese laterns in coordinating colors. This room was fun to do and the homeowner loved it! One of my proudest moments :-), Nurseries Design

  • "Teal/Aqua/Turquoise/Blue-ish Green" Baby Girl's Nursery, I really didn't want the 'cookie cutter' baby nursery, as matchy-matchy is just not my thing. I am absolutely obsessed with the color teal and knew that her nursery was going to be teal. However, I was first inspired by the modern feel of the spring green pendant by Oilo that I found at a boutique, but was able to negotiate for $100 off when I found it cheaper online. Then when I found the curtain fabric I fell in love as it was my 'perfect' teal! We had a friend's dad add the wainscotting and crown molding for us which I feel adds a girly and traditional touch to this modern nursery. I was also inspired by a polka dot fabric which brought together the teal, spring green and a yummy (and girly) bubble gum pink (My husband insisted we have pink in the room). I had someone make the pillows and curtains for me and commissioned my husband to take the photos of the pink flowers that are framed above the changing table. For the decal, I ordered it off etsy without the vinyl flowers and added the 3-d ones available at bedbath&beyond to make it a little more special. I painted a cheap white bookshelf from target to match the pendant and cribskirt, and got an soft rug off overstock.com. I purchased the crib and changing table on Black Friday for ridiculously cheap and splurged on the custom "Best" brand chair which ended up being a gift from my mom. One of the finishing touches is my husband's old rocking chair.
