  • Elegant Baby Glamour, The room was designed to fit our home so we did not really go overboard with a baby feel. Everything from the bedding to the drapes was hand sewn. The art behind the crib is also handpainted in a cherry blossom design. I just can't wait for our daughter to be here!, Nurseries Design

  • Alex's bedroom!, Inspired by a photo in a design magazine. Love the way it turned out. I really like the ice blue, red, and black together. The carpet tiles are from FLOR, headboard from Target, bedding from Pottery Barn and Walmart! Paint is from Restoration Hardware.

  • Craftsman Restoration, We have been restoring a 1910 craftsman bungalow in the historic Pasadena California area for the last 8 years. Just the backyard is left thank godness. I have attached a photo what it looked like when we bought it and another from just after finishing the landscaping. The first picture is what it looks like today really today. The tree looks more obsuring in the picture than it is in person and it gives some much needed shade since our house faces west. These old houses can get HOT!!!, Home Exterior Design

  • Pretty in Pink, This nursery is both chic and whimsical. A room that any little girl would love to have from infancy to tween. The unique lines of the ceiling lent itself beautifully to doing something fun and creative. Instead of ignoring all the doors in the space I turned them into a decorative feature. Plans are to add a chandelier and area rug as well as frame the mirror in the dressing area with a wide black molding.

  • Front Porch Redo, We had to completely rebuild our front porch. The floor is mahogany wood stained. The ceiling and columns are original except for the bases of the columns which were rotted. Notice the columns are a larger scale version of the columns in the foyer. Thanks for looking!, Porches Design

  • Girly, Girly Twin Nursery!, My twin sister and I (yes, I'm a twin, too) created the perfect space for my twin girls, Alex Christine & Avery Celeste, scheduled to arrive March 16! Hope you Enjoy!

I'll answer your questions here... hope you don't mind! The cribs, changer, and toybox are by Rockland in the coffee finish (similar to espresso) from JCPenney (very inexpensive) and the bedding is by My Baby Sam from JCPenney as well. The glider/ottoman is from BabiesRUs. The frames were purchased at Hobby Lobby ($17) and their initials were printed on scrapbook paper and placed in the frames until we have some baby pictures! The vinyl lettering was a custom order from (much easier than stenciling!) The bulletin board (behind the door) was $9 and the frame was spray painted and the cork covered in fabric using spray adhesive. Most of the decorations were purchased at discount stores: Home Goods, TJMaxx, Marshalls, etc. **Thanks to my dear husband for creating/constructing the perfect closet, painting the room, and assembling the furniture... and for all those diapers he will be changing soon (wink-wink)!

As far as the wall color... I ended up buying 6 sample quarts from Sherwin Williams and had to mix two half-in-half to get the right color. I know I have the formula on the can if anyone wants it, but I'll have to send my hubby out in the garage to figure out which two colors we mixed.

My husband picked out the name Alex and I picked Avery and Christine is my mother-in-law's middle name and Celeste is my grandmother's name and my middle name.

Thanks for all of the wonderful comments! We are ready for our little girls to get here and put their room to use!, Nurseries Design

  • Sweet tweet Retreat, My client's home is of the Craftsman style and they wanted a room that was charming and felt natural in the home's setting. Copper Top Table: Crate and Barrel, topped with a round piece of glass
Settee and leather chairs: Home Goods
Rug: a local retailer
Grommet-top window panels: JCPenney, I added the green band to make them longer
